[SBB] Sharp-tailed Sandpiper continues at Alviso Marina at 9:30 AM

Hi,

Made a quick stop on my way to work this morning. I was fortunate to find three other gentlemen birders (we didn't exchange names) already had the bird. I was able to get the bird into my scope before the flock flew a bit. I was able to refind it once, and then the flock flew and split into two with one half heading north or northwest. One of the other birders spied a larger bird in that flock, and we could not refind the bird in the half of the flock that stayed. They headed off to find the other flock, and I went to work.

The bird was located where previously reported: in the shallow water near the sand spits near where the gulls hang out close to the RR tracks. A scope is needed.

Good birding, Eric Goodill
