Ted Chandik's birding group visited Sacramento NWR and Colusa NWR this
week, braving high winds and intermittent rain. High points of our visit
were an adult Bald Eagle, up close and personal, at Sacramento. And three
American Bitterns, seen twice, at Colusa. The bitterns presented classic
profiles and two different birds flew. No owls (alas!).
