I dipped on the Franklin's Gull at Sunnyvale WPCP Sunday morning, but was
happy I'd lugged my camera and big lens out there anyway -- good
opportunities for exceptionally close-up shots of WILSON'S and RED-NECKED
PHALAROPES in the channel. Most of them are somewhere in molt, and I'd love
advice on which are adults and which juveniles, if you can tell from the
pictures. They are the first six birds in the gallery linked here -- call
them RN1, 2, 3 and W1, 2, 3.
