[SBB] Shoreline Lake, Saturday

The lone Aechmophorus grebe is still around and was closer to the west end
of the lake. It's undoubtedly a WESTERN -- which is what several of you
said it was, even on the basis of the distant shot I posted last week.

I've also posted pix of a mostly molted WILLET, a fully molted GREATER
YELLOWLEGS on Shoreline Lake, and a couple of molting LONG-BILLED
DOWITCHERS on Charleston Slough. Well, I'm calling them Long-billed -- and
I can proudly claim at least a 50% accuracy rate on dowitcher i.d.

These are all visible among the first eight photos shown at
http://www.pbase.com/tgrey/latest . The captions of the dowitcher pix say
why I'm calling them LB. Corrections welcome!

Tom Grey
