Yesterday (9/24) a WILLOW FLYCATCHER was at Pacheco Creek at Casa de Fruita. 
A MERLIN flew over Bloomfield Road near Llagas Creek, and an impressive 26 
BLACK-SHOULDERED KITES were concentrated in one field east of Frazier Lake Road 
just south of Bloomfield. On 9/19 I saw only 4 at or near this field.

On 9/19 a large gathering of egrets provided cause for a pause along Hwy 152 
at one of those mitigation ponds 2-3 miles east of Casa de Fruita. The pond 
was drying up, and had attracted 67 SNOWY EGRETS, 22 GREAT EGRETS, 7 GREAT BLUE 
HERONS, and one juv. WHITE-FACED IBIS. The ibis was a bit of a surprise there.
