There are many hedges and bushes at the intersection of Church Avenue and DePaul Circle in San Martin that provide cover for these birds, but so far this is the only one. There are usually a number of them picking up seeds under the feeder around early August when the nestbox breeding season is almost complete, so this is very late to see the first White-crowned Sparrow here.
