When Bob Reiling, Frank Vanslager, and  Al Eisner left yesterday 
after their "obligatory stop" to glimpse the roadrunner, Janna Pauser 
& friends, Phillip Robertson, and us stayed a few minutes longer and 
were rewarded with great views as the bird caught a lizard and a 
snail, stretched, stared, and posed for us just a 25 feet away.  This 
activity was at the edge of the brush patch to the south of the 
parking lot, with viewers standing near the dried "salt flat".
