Across Spreckels St from the towing company and the pump house, there is a triangular patch of water formed by two very narrow strips of 'land' and the near shore. At 5:30 pm the Stilt SP was on the 'hypotenuse' and both male Ruffs were on the N base foraging side by side. All 3 were incredibly close to the road. First time I've seen the males together. One has more white around the base of the bill and perhaps slightly pinker legs. I went over to the tracks to look for the female Ruff, but the light was not good. However, way far out to the E of the tracks was a possible candidate. And a Wilson's Snipe was squaking way up high. No more posts for today.
