We pulled into the parking lot and before I could put the car in park the bird came up out of the dry field located between the parking lot and the old cannery building. The Roadrunner had a snail in its beak. It proceeded to crack to shell open by hitting it against the parking lot and successfully found the moist tasty morsel inside. As we birded the area we re-found the Roadrunner two more times.
