No joy! The bird apparently has not been seen since shortly after it was found yesterday (9/8). Another birder was there when we arrived this morning and Dean Manley was still there when we left. We then went to State St & Spreckles Ave where we saw the now mostly basic plumaged STILT SANDPIPER (some fine spotting on the upper flanks), two PECTORAL SANDPIPERS (one colorful juvenile) and the "old" basic plumaged male RUFF (didn't see any other males so hard to tell for sure). The PESA left shortly after we found them in the southern portion of the pond but the Ruff and STSA were still there when we left. A walk out the railroad tracks to the "mainline" yielded only one flyaway basic plumaged BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER (nice look at the black axillaries). Take care, Bob Reiling _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
