In the spring of 2001, I found a dead Roadrunner that had been hit by a car at the corner of Calaveras Blvd. and Piedmont Road in Milpitas.  It was lying just off the side of Calaveras Blvd. This is "in the flats", but just at the bottom of the hill where Calaveras goes up the canyon to Ed Levin Park.
