The roadrunner had been present at this location off and on for several weeks. The habitat where it was seen is chaparral brushy hillside - part of the northern end of the Santa Tersa Hills. Much of the northern end of the Santa Teresa Hills north of the IBM facility is developed with housing and golf course, but there are still some undeveloped chaparral patches.
