Now this is interesting reading. Matt what did you do with the carcass?
In 1985 I had Chukar in Mt View off of San Antino looking north. 
The site is now sun buildings.

In the spring of 2001, I found a dead Roadrunner that had been hit by a
car at the corner of Calaveras Blvd. and Piedmont Road in Milpitas.  It
was lying just off the side of Calaveras Blvd. This is "in the flats",
but just at the bottom of the hill where Calaveras goes up the canyon to
Ed Levin Park.
