All,

A quick check of Stevens Creek north of L'Avenida on the way into work
this morning 9/2/04 turned up 3 WESTERN FLYCATCHERS, 4 WESTERN TANAGERS,
6+ YELLOW WARBLERS, and 1 WILSON'S WARBLER.  Also notable was an immature
COOPER'S HAWK chasing a MALLARD - not much chance of success, but the
MALLARD was sure worried.  Two GREEN-WINGED TEAL just north of the
Crittenden Lane bridge constitute the beginnings of our wintering
flock here.

You have to be off the east dike before the big 10-wheelers start
rolling in at 8:30am.
