BITTERN'S seen a few days ago at the Santa Clara Valley Water District. It is located on Almaden Ex. at Via Monte between Blossom Hill Road and Coleman Ave. The Guadalupe River is on the east side of the property. The dam is at the north end, on the east side of the property. Today one Bittern was seen at the south end of the pond which is off the parking lot. A Peregrine Falcon flew in around 10 am and perched in the top of a large Sycamore tree at the north east end.
