Birders-

It's been a while, so it's time for another post. Today in Alviso around 5:30 
pm both male Ruffs were at the Spreckles St pond foraging very close to the 
intersection. They both took off at once, flew high and north, then came back 
to land in the N end of the pond. A Pectoral sandpiper was on one of the 
central islands, and, as Pectorals seem to do, it sat down in the dry grass with its 
head barely visible.
