Today I tried for the Roadrunner but no luck for me...instead I was happy to see the Pectoral Sandpiper in the channel on my drive up to the EEC. Red-tailed Hawks and a single Red-shouldered Hawk on the power towers.... >From Alviso I went to Oka Ponds and entered through the Oka Lane entrance...lots of clearing of brush and trees were surprising. I watched two Kestrels catching Dragonflies...it was amazing to watch. Birds of note: 2 Snipe on "Snipe Island", Gadwalls and Wigeons have returned.... Birds at Oka today: Black Phoebe Gold and White-crowned Sparrows House Sparrows Green Herons (3) Snow Egret Great Egret Belted Kingfisher Coots (To think I was happy to see them!) Pied-billed Grebes American Kestrels Nuttall's Woodpecker Yellow-rump Warblers Bushtits Mockingbird Double-crested Cormorants Rock Doves Mourning Doves Mallards Canada Geese Crows Turkey Vulture Gulls Wishing you all good birding and my best regards, Linda Sullivan _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
