(I'm very new at this) It seems to be complicated by the apparent fact that this is a juvenile. I went back to my digital CF card and found a couple of more shots of the hawk that may be helpful to you experts. One is of the bird's tail, the other shows a small portion of the underside of one wing. Not sure if this will help.
