This is an inland count centered in the southern part of Santa Clara County. Areas covered include several South County Reservoirs (Almaden, Calero, Chesbro, Anderson) - county parks (Santa Teresa and New Almaden/Quicksilver) - portions of the Diablo Range foothills and Santa Cruz Mountains - all of Coyote Valley - and a significant stretch of Coyote Creek riparian (including Ogier Ponds and Parkway Lakes). Newcomers as well as veteran CBC'ers are welcome on this count. There is a $5 participation fee which goes back to Natl Audubon, and as always the count goes on rain or shine. A coundown pizza dinner will be held at the New Almaden Community Club in the township of New Almaden next door to La Foret Restaurant. The clubhouse is located in a wooded area along Alamitos Creek - a good spot for possible owls. If you're interested in joining us on this count and/or if you have any questions, please contact me at [[email protected]]. Thank you - Ann Verdi, Compiler Calero-Morgan Hill CBC _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
