I rushed right over and found it still in a tree south of the second set of stairs on the quarried trail. My first thought was a Long-eared Owl with it's upright, long tufted ears. After I got my eyeglasses and field guide I saw it's markings matched the Great Horned Owl. Possibly a first year owl because it was fearless. Guadalupe Oak Grove Park is off Thorntree Drive at McAbee in Almaden Valley. Janna Pauser _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
