A large flock of CANADA GEESE on the side of the old landfill had an immature GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE with them. After the SFBBO meeting, I was out at the Alviso Marina scoping out the gulls when Bob Reiling came hustling up and told me that one of the LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULLS was over at the EEC on one of the A16 islands. Scott Terrill, Bob, and I then went over there and had excellent scope views of this bird, the one with the duller yellow legs and the black smudged bill.
