Yesterday (5/17) at 6:30 PM and again this morning at 9:15 AM a Burrowing 
Owl was sitting on the perimeter cyclone fence at the Northwest corner of 
Lake Cunningham Park.  The owl was 50 yds to 100 yds down Cunningham Ave. 
from Capitol Expressway sitting atop a metal cyclone fencepost.  I 
personally haven't seen a Burrowing Owl at Cunningham for a few years.  They 
disappeared when the park people removed most of the ground squirrels from 
the park.  I'm hoping that there is a nesting pair but I have only seen the 
one owl so far.  Ted
