At least two COPO were heard singing at the same time a short way up the Senador Mines Trail. The birds were up the canyon to the east which is in the direction of the trail. Earlier we saw a bird in "fluttering flight," going west to east. along the ridgeline to the north of the main trail. Another COPO was heard briefly singing to the west in the direction of the Guadalupe Trail (as was a duet of GREAT-HORNED OWLS). A large Owl was later seen flying west along the Guadalupe Trail (assumed GHOW). A single unidentifiable screech was the only other indication as to the possible presence of other Owls.
