You can imagine the ruckus caused in the palms when the newly arrived males confronted the breeding residents. The palms were so full of Snowys that those less fortunate were forced to line up on the bank of the pond below. I counted 55 new Snowys, in addition to the 15 there already. The BLACK CROWNED NIGHT HERONs who share the nesting trees with the Snowys, were forced back to the Eucalyptus behind the palms. I counted 15 Night Herons there.
