I had a nice surprise at Coyote Creek below Anderson Reservoir today at around noon. A Wilson's Warbler peeked out at me from an Oak tree. I got a fairly close view, if shorter than I'd have liked. To find this location, turn left at the end of E. Dunne Rd. (off HW-101 in Morgan Hill), instead of right (which is actually a continuation of E. Dunne Rd. and takes you to below Anderson Reservoir). This road meanders next to the creek until it ends in a parking lot. Take the trail along the creek about 1/2 mile until you get to the bridge on the right. Cross the bridge and turn right on the paved path on the other side. Follow this to its' end (where it turns into dirt and the other side of the creek is visible). There are two oaks behind the pump house where some kind of percolation pond is. The Wilson's was in the oak on the right as you face the pump house. Also found a Bullock's Oriole building a nest in the field below the damn. Happy birding! Jean Myers _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
