	A 3-mile loop around the preserve on this gray morning produced 44
species.  Among the highlights were two calling Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers (at
the intersection of the Arastradero Creek and Acorn Trails), one of which
provided a stunning close-up without binocs, many singing Orange-crowned
Warblers, two Black-throated Gray Warblers, a Warbling Vireo, and a briefly
singing House Wren.  Among the five raptor species we saw were a pair each
of Red-Shouldered and Red-Tailed Hawks having a territorial squabble.  And
Chestnut-backed Chickadees were feeding young.
