The best view is from one of the turnouts to the east of the call box at the north end of the lake along Hwy 152. The SANDHILL CRANE was not there this morning, but there were over 20 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE, which the crane had been associating with. I decided to drive some of the roads to the south of the lake and came upon my first WESTERN KINGBIRD of the season on Lovers Lane near the intersection with Shore Road. Another bird of note was a single BURROWING OWL on Lake Road. Driving north from Shore Road on Lake, it was on the left between the house on the corner and the large gray house. Hopefully the crane will return in the afternoon for more to see. Steve Rovell Marina, CA _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
