Both birds were well seen. In Christmas Hill Park we had a large flock of CEDAR WAXWINGS moving through the eucalyptus trees and berry bushes and had a brief view of an adult male Oriole [most likely BUOR] disappearing into the conifers. At one point we watched an arial skirmish between a NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW and at least three TREE SWALLOWS, each species would light at the entrance to a nest box only to be driven off by the other [no apparent winner but the odds would seem to be against the Northern Rough-winged Swallow).
