Today, March 17, the pair of PEREGRINE FALCONS were seen at
2:30pm on the ledges of the Sun buildings along Freedom Circle
in Santa Clara.  One bird per building but at the same level,
one story down from the top.

Yesterday, March 16, in the owl box in the Education Center
in Alviso, an adult BARN OWL and an owlet showed themselves at
11:00am.  Parent BARN OWL was wide awake, eyes open and head
moved occasionally.  The light gray downy owlet flapped and
stretched its wings once and moved about and then disappeared
into the corner of the box.  Hard to tell its size, maybe
slightly more than half as tall as its parent, very round and
fluffy with its down coat.
