   This morning at Stevens Creek Park there was an assortment of resident
(and a few wintering) birds, many singing; but the only evident spring
arrivals were, as expected, a bunch of singing Orange-crowned Warblers.
At and near the Cooley picnic area I found a concentration of active
woodpeckers:  five species, including Red-breasted Sapsucker (but missing
Flicker).  Brown Creeper was singing here, and was also seen near the
ranger station.  I didn't have time to check the creek for Dipper.
