It was foraging on the red eucalyptus there. A GREAT HORNED OWL is on a nest in one of the eucalypts here. Further up Felter Road, the large pond between Felter and Calaveras had four female/imm HOODED MERGANSERS still. Stopping at the Sierra Road summit, I had 4-5 HORNED LARKS, including one singing.
