Its well described on page 68 of Birding at the Bottom of the Bay. I walked from the parking lot on the Santa Rosa Trail to the crest of the mountain at Sierra Azule Rd.and back. It was a perfect morning, clear and warm, green and lush, no dust, good trails and nobody around (almost). The views are great. A list of the birds observed follows: Stellar Jay Scrub Jay Oregon Oregon Junco Gold Crowned Sparrow Hutton's Vireo Acorn Woodpecker Red Breasted Sapsucker Red Shouldered Hawk Turkey Vulture California Towhee Spotted Towhee Hermit Thrush American Robin California Quail Mallard Anna's Hummingbird The three Red Shouldered Hawks observed put on a noisy display in what appeared to be some kind of mating display or territorial argument. This urban park is well visiting. John Hutz _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
