White-tailed Kites are nesting in my neighborhood once again. The nest
is at the top of a large pine tree behind a house at 3311 Thomas Dr. in
Palo Alto.  On Friday, Feb.27, the female was adding (or arranging?)
nest material just before the male arrived to copulate.

On the same morning a Sharp-shinned Hawk (female by size??) flew over
and then roosted in a tree a couple of blocks away.
