I'm sending this offlist, so I hope it gets through any "spam-catcher" 
software that you use.

Congratulations on your new home! How exciting for you & your family and for 
opportunities to help Nature! 

I am very interested in visiting, and will definitely call ahead. 

I am also a land owner (we're managing our land as a preserve), a birder, 
mammal watcher, insect watcher, etc. 

And I am very involved with & interested in and supportive of restoring 
native ecosystems.  

I have several years of experience with invasive non-native plants on both 
public and private land (no fees & "no strings attached" for my involvement), am 
the founding director of Native Habitats, the current president of the Santa 
Clara Valley chapter of the California Native Plant Society, and a director 
for the Santa Cruz Mountains Bioregional Council. 

So I would be happy to help you find, well ... help and information!  

Also, one of the issues that I think needs a lot more support and attention, 
is support (resources, funding, information, etc.) for private landowners who 
are giving priority to native biodiversity on their land. So we can talk about 
that too, if you wish.
