Unfortunately the Water Treatment Ponds are dry and there were no birds of note. We then went to San Felipe Lake where we had an unidentified "duck" which was about 2/3 the size of an adult CANADA GOOSE, had an overall dark blackish-brown body with some white along the wing, had reddish-orange legs and some red around the front part of the head. Later, on our way home, we were unable to relocate the bird. We then went to San Felipe Road where we had WESTERN KINGBIRDS in the Eucalyptus Trees and near the creek. And that's as good as it got, an altogether hot, slow bird watching day in the deep south (County).
