We shorebirded along the Bay the rest of the day, but found slim pickings in the CCFS waterbird pond (a GREEN HERON flying away), the Sunnyvale WPCP ponds (male/female RUDDY DUCK and 8 precocial young), Adobe Creek (2 ad BLACK SKIMMERS), and the North Pond at the FCB. The tide started to uncover at the Palo Alto Baylands about 2:30 pm and we had excellent shorebirding, but nothing to report. Right now New Chicago Marsh/A16 is one of the most attractive spots for impoundment shorebirds and the Baylands remains a great spot for tidal birds.
