So here it is. Hi SB Birders- After failing to relocate any Ruff in the New Chicago Marsh today I went over to the EEC with Dean Manley (who did see a Ruff about an hour earlier). On the salt pond we saw a few Red-necked Phalaropes and one Bonaparte's Gull. Three willets were on the first island, and a total of four Black Skimmers could be seen on the second and third islands. We also watched a Least Sandpiper and a Savannah Sparrow foraging together on the levee bank. There was a birder up the tracks as I was leaving, possibly Mike Mammoser(?). Perhaps he saw the Ruff.
