Just checked Almaden Lake.  Spotted Sandpiper adult with 1 medium-small 
(but still entirely downy) chick on, and 2 large but still flightless young 
Common Mergansers near, the gravelly island at the upper end of the 
lake.  The island in the middle of the lake had numerous Great and Snowy 
Egrets -- there appeared to be 11 Great and about 15 Snowy Egret nests with 
large young on or near the nests, plus 6 juv. BCNH scattered around the 
island as well.

Has SPSA been confirmed breeding there before? [No]
