The WHITE-THROATED SPARROW was obvious most of the time I was there, initially at parcourse #16, then #17, then back to #16, then across on the north side of the channel at #14. The area was very birdy, with large numbers of AMERICAN and LESSER GOLDFINCHES and SPARROWS, but I didn't see or hear any buntings. Other birds of note today included a SORA, at least one OAK TITMOUSE, a TOWNSEND'S WARBLER, and an ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD building a nest. Pat Kenny and Roland Kenner joined me at about 9am and were still working the area when I left - maybe they'll have better news soon!
