One was flying high above the North Rim trail at Alum Rock Park. I could not relocate the American Dippers today, despite walking up and down the creek quite a lot. On the North Rim trail, I had multiple CALIFORNIA THRASHER, a RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER, and two heard-only RUFOUS-CROWNED SPARROWS, in addition to the expected species. The second GOLDEN EAGLE was perched on a telephone pole south of the boat launch area at Calero, and allowed a close-up study. The Bald Eagle was not to be found.
