Just after 5PM today, I spotted a Ferruginous Hawk in a large tree looming over a small house on Half Road, on the southwest corner of the T-intersection at Mission View in Morgan Hill. Exit 101 at Cochrane, go east a half a mile and turn south on Mission View just past the hospital. Half Road is a mile south of Cochrane. Ferruginous Hawks have wintered in this area before, but this was very close to the road and easy to view.
