Good evening Sbbers....


Today I went over to Vasona to check on the Great Blue Heron Rookery. There 
are three active nests and a single male trying very hard to impress two 
females today.  The courtship behaviors were wonderful to watch.  Lots of bill 
clapping, neck stretching and flight circling.  

Later in the afternoon I went over to Charleston Marsh to find the Northern 
Waterthrush..no luck there.  But, did watch the Anna's Hummingbird on her nest. 
 Had a Green Heron watching me watching him.... Common Yellowthroats were 
showing themselves (wish the waterthrush would have done that!) and had a 
Sharp-shinned Hawk do a flyover...
