I walked out the RR tracks and I scoped the Herring Gull flocks coming in to roost east of the tracks (towards the EEC). While checking out the gulls, a basic RUFF walked out of the pickleweed and into my field of view--talk about skilled birding! Coming back, I saw a LESSER YELLOWLEGS on the west side. Two BURROWING OWLS were also visible on the east side of the tracks. I saw two more owls shortly after at the Arzino Ranch.
