Howdy Sbbers....

Got word that the Great Blue Herons were at the Rookery...so at 10 this 
morning I was there.....WOW....WOW...WOW....I was told that yesterday lots of 
mating activity was going on and all the herons were displaying.  Today I had one 
female in the nest sitting down most of the time (when she wasn't fighting off 
another heron for the nest) and the male sitting below.  Two other nest have 
herons standing in them and two other single herons doing displays....it's all 
so exciting...so I can now say the Vasona GBHE Rookery for 2004 is underway....
