The best I could do was see some yellow undertail coverts preceded by a a bright white patch on a small bird in dense shrubs near the highpoint of the trail through the California section. Further east along the trail in some budding willows there was a Western Tanager. North of the California section in sycamores (I think) was one yellow-shafted type flicker lacking any red marks on the head, so I think it's a Red-shafted X Yellow-shafted female. Later in Alviso, two Ruffs were among the few shorebirds remaining at the State-Spreckles pond.
