It has been proposed to build a freeway connector between 101 and the Dumbarton Bridge through the Palo Alto wetlands. Apparently this idea seemed an easy solution as such construction would not affect any neighborhoods. A public meeting about the Dumbarton Bridge connection to ease traffic congestion will be: Saturday, February 28th, 10am to 12 noon, at The Avenidas, 450 Bryant Street, Palo Alto, between Lytton and University. At this meeting The City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County (C/CAG)and Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) and San Mateo County Transportation Authority will be asking for ideas from the public about relieving congestion from FWY 101 to the Dumbarton Bridge. Maybe some of you would like to offer ideas. I understand this is not the preferred arena for sending this type of information, but now we all know and maybe we can make a difference.
