Both ponds were loaded with impressive numbers of ducks and gulls. In pond A9 we had at least five adult male EURASIAN WIGEON [a possible sixth adult male EUWI was in pond A10 located some distance from where the first five had been seen but then some time had passed since the first sightings]. Salt Pond A10 still had a few REDHEAD in it [a target species]. Pairs of [yes, male and female] RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS were seen in ponds A9, A10 and A14. Ponds A13 and A10 had one each CLARK'S GREBE [another target species, each with a WESTERN GREBE]. Glaucous Gull was our big miss for the day, there were lots of bleached-out first year gulls with all white primaries but they all had essentially all black bills.
