As usual we had some hits and misses : no Hammond's but a BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER at CCFS, great looks at two RUFFS at State and Spreckles, and then there was the GLAUCOUS GULL....About 2:45 we scoped the flock at Lake Almaden without luck. Then I saw a very pale gull with all white primaries near the east end of the larger island, in a gap in what looks like a wall. But this gull was dead, lying face down on the stones.... No other Glaucous was in sight, and another birder who joined us agreed it looked like a Glaucous. Maybe we're wrong, has anyone else seen this dead bird?
