One of the three "obsessives" who passed the 700 mark as chronicled in
Obmascik's The Big Year is Greg Miller, with whom a number of local folks
have birded with on his trips out here. As I understand it, though Greg
didn't get the biggest list in 1998, he comes out as the hero of the book
for being such a good guy. No one who knows Greg will be surprised by that.
Some people have knocked the book for treating birders as eccentrics, but I
say, hey: be eccentric, be proud! Feb 26 at 7:30 at Kepler's.
