The park is located off Hill Avenue, just south of Dunne in Morgan Hill. The park was dedicated late in January, but already it is attracting good numbers of waterfowl. Pond areas are fenced to prevent access by dogs and kids. Ignoring my own advice, I did not have binoculars with me, but a single, rather shy white goose could only be Ross' based on his size in comparison with nearby waterfowl as well as his rounded head and diminuitive bill. Also present was a Greater Yellowlegs, Wilson's Snipe, numbers of Mallards and American Coots, Bufflehead, Ring-necked Duck, and a single Common Merganser. The banks of the ponds are steeper than I'd like to see, but the area seems to hold great promise as the ponds continue to settle in and landscaping becomes more established.
